6 Attachment(s)
Finally managed to get hold of a camera and take pics...

56cm LHT frame, sturdy wheels (Shimano xt hub, mavic a719 rims, double butted spokes) built by harris cyclery, mostly components off of nashbar, super sweet brooks B17, shimano 105 components, shimano ultegra cassette, shimano barcons, some no name brake levers, avid 6 brakes, syntace aero bars and a carbon seatpost...

huh, i'm bout the same. when i'm not hitting san tomas i go from bascom @ 17 to lafayette @ central. go left on central over to scott/bowers though, not towards delacruz.

we should meet up and nerd out for a bit some day.

Sharp. I like how the red bits contrast with the frame. How are the aero bars when you have the panniers loaded down?

roadfix 12-31-05 03:50 PM

I agree, the reds add a nice touch. Nicely done... :)

Thanks all for the comments.

With the panniers loaded it's more stable (I can even ride no hands). Without the panniers, the steering is kinda twitchy...

Thats the most functional LHT I have ever seen.

How are the wheels? How was the service from Harris Cyclery?

The wheels are solid and bombproof. I recieved them as true as wheels get. No complaints in that area...

very nice looking ride!

Very cool, welcome to the LHT club. One thing I can't work out tho, what is that box on the seat tube above the bottle cage?

Bekologist 01-01-06 09:31 AM

Sweet! Nice ride, great racks! What is the front rack, is it a Nitto, or a Surly?

I'm betting the bag on the top tube is a Bento box (snack box) or a battery bag...

Looks like a Topeak Survival Gearbox. I prefer to mount mine on the seat tube in the same spot, but turned around and just under the seat stays - less obtrusive looking on the forward triangle and doesn't get in the way of the water bottle. They're neat little tool kits that just happen to be pretty cheap.

Hehe yep it's a topeak gearbox. The rack is a Surly nice rack, and the snack bag's from nashbar (pretty handy)...

Nice, what fenders (width) are you using?
