-5C this morn. Tomorrow's high is 4C, which will round out the month.
jimmibudd, gratz on the great race. trading your race kms for commuting kms is within the spirit of the challenge IMO. |
Yay, made it! 21/21. Will have 462 miles for the month on when I get home tonight.
One down, 11 to go. Dogboy, are you starting the February Challenge thread? |
awesome thread dogboy.....!!
start a Feb one please.... i was almost 100%, with a few minor allowances..... but i like being able to check in with 3 or 4 people everyday and to keep track of my own progress/clothing/comments/etc.... i'm going to try to increase my kms in Feb and, at the same time, try to reduce my hours of TV watched.... does watching hockey count as watching TV?... jb |
Woot, 21 for 21. Today was the worst commute. We got an unforecasted 1.5-2 inches of the white stuff. Kinda of slick, but I thru on my studs this morn so I just took a slow and steady pace.
January is my B1TCH! Here's my stats: Commuting: 214km (133miles) TOTAL: 312km (194miles) Dogboy, start up a feb thread. This was fun, and a great motivator.

Now here's a question for ya. Does watching the Leafs count as watching hockey? Cause I don't know what sport they've been playing for the last 9 games, but it certainly isn't hockey. But I digress. |
Today the radio said 26 but my home thermometer said 18. Felt more like 18 to me. My hybrid will be done today, but after riding the cross bike over several icy stretches with no problems I'll stick with it unless it rains/snows again.
Stats for the month: Days of work: 17 Days of commuting: 15 Miles of commuting: 149 + trip home Total miles to date: 250 + trip home Weight lost in Jan: 7 lbs I wasn't going to start a Feb. Thread, but since you are asking for one, I'll do it. |

OK, I didn't bike commute everyday, but I have a good excuse. Here's my stats: Out of 21 possible commuting days, I - Took the subway 1.5 days - Worked from home 2 days - Commuted 17.5 days - Totaled over 127 bike miles for the month of January. Excuses: 1) The beginning of January saw my bike in Police custody where they were safekeeping it after my accident right before Christmas, hence the subway usage. 2) I worked from home a couple days cuz I was either sick as a dog or prepping to leave on a trip. When I did drive, I drove over 1500 miles on two separate trips. |
