As we do our best to get along with car drivers, or even "educate" them, always keep in mind, hidden among all the people who are just tired or angry or stupid or ignorant, there are a very few that are just f'ing batsh*t CRAZY:

Watch out for these people.

That's what happen when people drink.

SUV driver, natch.

His motive remained unclear, police said. "We couldn't comprehend what he was blabbering," police Lt. Greg Winn said.

He was probably screaming for them to get on the sidewalk. I'm glad the women are OK.

Oh my god, he GESTURED!

He has two charges of felony assault and driving under the influence. Those women have a good basis for a civil suit and if the newborns show any sign of something wrong that doesn't have a clear cause or if there is a miscarriage, they ought to go after him for that too--or much, much worse, tell their insurance company that it's his fault and let them go after him.

Even if I got just as drunk and crazy on a bicycle (and I wouldn't), I just could not do that kind of damage. There are people who shouldn't drink and people who shouldn't drive and even some people who should do neither.

It would be a trial worth attending for those with the time and inclination. The judge and prosecutor ought to see that people are watching them.

Absolutely! Go see the trial and every preliminary hearing and court appearance. This "accused" criminal tried to kill 4 people. The prosector will thank you. So many drunks slime thru the system when they, the court staff, and lawyers on both sides ae not being silently watched by an involved crowd. We have a drunk in my town up on murder charges for running off the road 5" to hit a stopped cyclist. Our bike coalition always has a group there with bike pins on or helmets in laps, watching. Hearing after hearing. The prosecutor thanks us each time and has a quiet briefing after each hearing to explain what happened and will happed next.

WTF is wrong with people? my wife is 8 1/2 months prgnant, if someone tried to hurt her.... OMG you wouldn't want to be that person

He needs to be found guilty of 4 counts of attempted murder plus all the relevant drink driving charges as well, and locked up for a long time.
