Passed out in San Filipe!

I call my trusty old Univega Pancho, because 25 years ago I was in a 120 mile bike race from Mexicalli to San Filipe, Mexico, on the Baja Peninsula. I did it in about 7 hours, mostly through a very hot area. The water stations were few and far between. When I arrived in San Filipe, I parked my bike in front of a beer store, bought a six pack, drank the whole thing, and passed out on the sidewalk in front of the store. People just walked over me, and the police ignored me. When I woke up, I was okay, and partied all night in San Filipe. A good one for my memory bank! Several factory backed tandem teams were in the race, and I couldn't believe how fast those guys went!

Ever seen one of those old pics with 4 or so cyclists all on one bike? I wonder how fast that would be?

(Or, if you were one of 4 guys on one bike? That would have been a case of beer and 4 guys stacked on the sidewalk...)
