Looking of a good, small lock...
I'm thinking about using my second most-favored road bike to start commuting. I work on an Air Force base and am not really too worried about theft. However, there is still always that distinct possibility that it will happen...
Anyway, the bike is and older one that wouldn't kill me if it were to be stolen, but I still want to take some kind of precaution. Any one have any recommendations in terms of small locks that I could use that would fit in one of my jersey pockets?

The Kryptonite Evolution mini and simiar mini's by other U-lock manufacturers are effective and while small enough to go in pocket, I think it would be annoying due to weight stretching jersey back.
You can also leave the lock locked to the rack at your destination if it is the same one every day.

Any cheap cable lock will stop opportunistic theft by some guy who would rather not walk but it wont stop a regular bike thief. I use a cable on fun rides for cafe stops.
