rode with a coyote last night. . .

on my way home from work about 9.15 pm (i usually don't work this late but some dude was on vacation so i took his shift), i was ridin' betwixt mt. auburn cemetary and cambridge cemetary and a coyote came out and started lopin' along about 10 yards ahead of me from side-to-side for about a quarter mile and then slid under the fence into cambridge cemetary. it was pretty cool in that there are quite a few coyotes in the 'burbs around boston, but this was right in town. lock up yer cats--thems good eatin'!! :) :) :)

Hare's do this with me from time to time in my neighbourhood. Another joy of biking to work.

Being from Arizona, everytime I see the word "coyote" I think of a Mexican immigrant smuggler before I think of the animal.

The one time I encountered several coyotes in Denver, they were more interested in figuring out what I was than running with me.
Hares do this all the time. Foxes run directly away from me. I'm thinking the foxes are the smartes animals out of the group. :p

Coyotes are really different here in S. California.

Did this one speak English?

Brunop,

You are obviously new to the area. That was not a coyote. That was "King Rat." About thirty years ago, he took up residence in the old Boston Garden after escaping from a Harvard Med School lab that was doing a nutrition study. I am surprised he went back to Cambridge after living in Boston for so long. I guess he misses those Elsie specials you get near the square. Then again, maybe he's just ticked-off that the Bruins missed the playoffs - AGAIN!

Obtacles are those frightening things you see when you take your eyes off the goal.
