Time is on my side
Funny thoughts occur to me while I'm riding. Like this one.
How much of your life do you waste sitting in your car in traffic when you could be out riding?
I mean, people who drive are always trying to shorten their commute times (if they're not trying to buy a house for half the price waaaaay out in the boonies, or in a city 2 hours away.) You never hear someone say, "I just love driving in rush hour so much that I took the long way home. I might have spent an extra 30 minutes in my car, but it was worth it."
As for me, it seems like I'm doing just that on my bicycle. I keep looking for excuses to lengthen my trip home, even look forward to it during work. Fantasies of beautiful sky, trees, breezes, and scenery go through my mind before I even hop on the bike.
I feel sorry for car drivers, I really do.
