I love it

Well here I am on the crest of week 3. I did 90 miles so far this week, will be adding about 40 over the next two day. I am still in awer at the fact I am about to bike a 100miles in a week, when less than 3 months ago I could barely walk to the bus stop without my legs being tired and being out of breath.

I have become addicted though, I now look forward to the next bike ride instead of dreading it. Look to wishing for a new bike already, and putting the money towards finishing and buing the Hoss. The new seat is doing wonders, and has let me continue to bike so far. Wanted to extend a huge thankyou to everyone here who helped over the last few weeks. :)

Also, I converted my first person!

My boss at work has seen me comming in the last few weeks and commented on how he noticed I was tanned, more energectic and looked like I had lost some weight. We talked about bikes and ect and he wanted me to come with him to go look at some. He only lives 5 miles away, but will be starting from the same health point I did.

So yeah, I passed that point where you dread cycling home to you are looking forward to it, and the cycle high that follows. :)

thorton,

The human body can do a lot, if you only push it to do so. It rewards you with a good feeling--something contageous and lasting.

Many congrats to you. What a great start to a new phase of your life.

My health and weight have never been better. Biking to work gives me more focus on exercise than ever before. I know what you're doing and understand your new found excitement. It is great.:D

thorton,

I have to admit that when you posted your "honeymoon cut short" post, I thought we wouldn´t hear from you again. But here you are reporting about 100 miles per week! Thats amazing, you are an inspiration to the rest of us. Keep up the good work.

You really have earned a new bike (actually the government should buy you a new bike and put your picture in the newspaper), but make sure to research the market first. After all, testing and studying bikes and parts is half of the fun of a new bike. Just make sure to analyze your needs thoroughly before you buy anything.

Congrats Thornton! Glad to hear you have joined our merry little cult. I know every once in a while when I am lacking in energy and motivation I will look back on my trip logs to my early trips and compare them to my current efforts. It always motivates me and keeps it all in perspective.

Keep us posted on your progress and keep on pedalling!

Thorton: Just picked up your thread. You're really a 400+ pound 21 year old? Man, you're my hero. Seriously. What guts! Way to föçkín' go!
