Love Riding!
I can remember not long ago, riding around the block and getting winded.
I am up to 10mi 3X during the week now and 25/30 on the weekends - if I had more time I would go further. I was new to it last year and bought a MTN bike - but now with the longer rides - I am looking for a roadie. My problem is I am 5'4" with a long torso and short legs. I looked at a few bikes (Cannondale/Giant/Fuji) but they just didn't fit right. My LBS isn't the greatest so I am thinking of getting fitted at a shop in the city. Do you think $150 is worth the fitting charge? |
My old LBS charged about the same. The LBS owner spent 2 hours fitting me. That said, my fitting was free because I bought a bike.
If your in the market for a new rig I would ask the manager/owner if they would fit you for free or reduced price. |
Check out Lemond bikes. From what my LBS told me, they have longer top tubes for longer torso riders. Dunno if that's true, but it's worth checking out.
