Sagging Tyre too much weight?

I got my panniers for my rack they are awesome I loaded it up with 12 lbs of my usual crap ( I am now bringing lunch instead of eating out ) and the back tyre looks like it is flat (checked for leaks and what not) I pumped the tyres up past the recommended 75 psi these are old tubes and tires on 27" wheel. To get down to the question with this looking flat will the rim have damage when I hit a bump? I am a between 170 and 200 lbs (not to sure haven't had an accurate scale to weigh my self after considerable weight loss

I just wanted to say that I've experienced something similar. I have 1.5 inch tires on 27'' wheels and I weigh about 190-200 lbs and I carry about 15lbs in my rear panniers to work. I notice that my rear tire is always seriously squished looking. So far so good though...

If you are running at the recommended max pressure you should be fine. A wider tire will appear to bulge more than a skinny one but also provides more cushion before you pinch.

Yeah they are the skinny road tyres well if others look like mine then all should be well

My tires do the same thing. My back more so.
