commuting shoes

Hey all I am looking at Sixsixones Reflex as a commuter shoe. How stiff are the soles? How do they fit in general(large toe box?, narrow?etc). Are they full suede or do they have mesh vents. I want use them during winter so more leather the better. Here's a link for them

Thanks Charlie

I just bought a pair of their Launch Taki shoes.

I don't know a thing about the Reflex, but the Launch shoes are warm because they are made out of something manmade (Not Nubuck, not plain plastic, Naugasuede?). I'm actually thinking about punching some holes in them for ventilation. They would be great for winter as is. I got them because they were my size, cheap, cleatless, and fairly smooth on the bottom. I have pretty wide feet and mine feel fine. The quality of the construction seems mediocre, so I'm waiting to see how they hold up.

They are pretty stiff on the bike, but not like other cycling shoes I had in the past (before the "clipless" pedals). They are fairly easy to walk in, though stiffer than regular athletic or skate shoes.

I have the SixSixOne Launch shoes as well. They're not ultra stiff like roadie shoes, but they're stiffer than regular shoes. I wear mine to work as well and they're comfortable enough for all day wear, but I have an office job so I'm not on my feet all day. I've got wide feet too and they fit snug, not tight, but not lose either. Them and my SPD sandals are my preferred riding shoes.

Those look sweet. Are they for clipless pedals? It says non-SPD so obviously not that but is it good for eggbeaters etc?

Thanks guys Sounds like sixsixones have a wide enough shoe for my comfort. I think I prefer the leather Reflex for the stink factor. man made shoes tend to hold my stink beyond acceptable levels:eek: Charlie

How about the SPD system on those shoes? Is the cleat set in far enough to walk in them?
