Short liners?

I'm looking for some unpadded short liners to wear under my bike shorts. Any tips on where to look?

Do you wear short liners? just bike shorts? Do you clean and dry your shorts durring your work shift?

I should do some more reading in this forum :)

I just use shorts for my commuting. I change in the bathroom and air them out under my desk. I seems to work.

I use Zoic mtb shorts, but Performance sells some cycling briefs for under the shorts of your choice.

Thanks SBeach,

I currently own a few pair of those briefs, however, wearing them under my bibs is like wearing an adult diaper, it wasn't pleasant. I am looking for something very similar to those, but not padded.

My commute to work will be just over 16 miles direct, 20 miles for a more scenic route. Due to the length, i would be much more comfortable commuting in my current bib tights, then a baggy short or any other type of clothing.

What it comes down to, is that i dont like the idea of using my shorts twice without washing them... If i could just find some type of seemless non-padded liner. :)

i just go down to the local Target and buy a pack of 3 nylon briefs. These are the "regular size" ones, not the bikini briefs....

The best thing I have found are some Duofold Coolmax stretch shorts from sierratradingpost.com. They kind of look like bike shorts but no padd and the fabric is lightweight and very silky. The seems are nice and flat. Unfortunately, they no longer have any of the men's. In desperation I ordered a pair of women's as a trial. They seem exactly like the men's; even the sizes seem to run the same. So, yes, Rainman is wearing women's underwear. :o They only seem to have size small left, but they are a good price if you can use them. There are two models. I have tried both. The black ones seem to be slightly heavier fabric but you can hardly tell.

While you are there, Joe, check out the Deuter cycling backpacks Fubar mentioned. Do a brand name search on Duofold and Deuter.

These are called "compression shorts" runners use them to prevent chafing and provide support.

These are an example. I would prefer something like this because they contain no cotton. Shorts similar to these are available at *.mart for about $10-$15
