Blink !! Blink !!! Blink !!!!

left: The new Planet Bike Superflash
center: Cateye TL-LD 1000 10 led's
right: BLT Super Doppler.

The Super Dopler
Still the brightest thing around, but the beam is narrow. Excellent for country roads with the cars a long way away.
No good for bumper to bumper traffic, the beam is too narrow. Also the quality contol is not good. Not 100% reliable, it can shut itself off on a hard bump.

The Cateye 10 LED better from the sides and any angle, but not quite as bright from a distance. Best of the three for bumper to bumper traffic and crossing intersections. My 2 have been reliable. For about a year.

The Planet Bike is not quite as bright as the Super Doppler but very close. It has a little wider hot spot from the rear. It's a little brighter than the Cateye directly from the rear but not as good from 90 degress to the side. Very good from about 45 degrees. Nice and compact for a minimalist style road bike. Time will tell about the reliability. It's a modified version of an older Planet Bike light, I have two of them, those are bulletproof, so I am very optomistic about the reliablity of the new ones.

after dark photos coming..................after dark !

Well isn't the superdoppler basically a focused front light with red LED's?

If I were a cyclist, I would've swiped your lights when you took that last pic.

Before you speak ill of a person, walk a mile in their shoes; then you're a mile away and you have their shoes!

those are supposed to go on your bicycle, but if you want to put them on your car, your choice.

You could get a big aluminum aftermarket wing and bolt them onto it. It bet it would make your car super fast.
