fender recommendation

I've taken a hardtail and replaced the suspension fork with a rigid steel fork and put 1.25 slicks on it.

Now come fenders. The way it looks now, if I wanted to mount the fenders to the frame, they'd sit over the brakes. I'm not sure I want to do that. I also don't want to mess around with a drop bolt to lower them although I may have no choice if I want em under the brakes. Do I have any other options? Maybe the Planet Bike SpeedEZ?

And which width do I get? It's a 26 inch wheel but the tires are only 32 mm.

I'm in the same boat. I just changed my hardtail to a ridged fork and just ordered some Freddyfenders yesterday from performance. Once they come in and I get them on I'll report back. I have 26x1.95 slicks and disk brakes.

Planet Bike Hardcore Freddy Fenders are pretty good... the only complaint that I have is that they're a little bit floppy in the 26" size. If you're willing to spend an extra $5-$10, SKS Chromoplastics have (in my opinion) better mounting hardware, and are probably a bit stiffer. On the downside, they lack even the atrophied mudflaps of the Freddy Fenders.
