One loses a bike, one finds a bike..
Sorry to hear about jyossarian losing a bike. I just got me a new bike tonight off EBay. Trek 520. Very, very happy that I will be able to put the Schwinn MTB back as a MTB instead of my commuter. Picked this thing up for $290.

I lost a bike?!? I didn't know that! Lemme go count 'em. Looks like I have 'em all. Maybe it was Nam you were thinking about that had his bike swiped?
Maybe that lever thing is a downtube shifter? Looks kinda far down though.

I don't recall the name of it, but it flips down to keep the front wheel from turning, so that when you lean your bike against something it doesn't roll and fall. If you send it to me I'll be glad to use it and demonstrate....Oh, and nice bike.

I think that thing is a wheel lock. It flips down and hugs the front wheel keeping it straight allowing you to lean it against a wall or something without it falling over. Without that thing, the wheel can turn and the bike will crash. Just remember to flip it back up before you ride.

Of course, my bike is nearly impossible to ride no-hands.
