Does anyone have a teleporter?

I really don't want to ride home in the rain this evening. Okay, it's a drizzle. But it's almost dark, like a super saturated all encompassing grey. I guess I have to just hang out here until I get the "Hey, I'm hungry" motivation to get me moving.

No problem. Just have a wife that does not like you to ride at night in the rain. The one time in the last two years I had to face commuting home (13 miles) in the rain she was already in the parking lot at work. She had even taken off early from her job to do so.

Just get out and do it, don't think about it, just do it. If you stop and think about it you'll come up with all sorts of reasons not to. ON the other hand, if you just get out and ride through it, you'll realise within about 30 seconds that it wasn't nearly as bad as you thought.

+1

Couldn't say it better myself. No matter what my excuse is for not wanting to ride, I've never regretted it (riding) once I'm pedaling.

Ken... that's a good one. You almost had me for a second there. But you forget, I didn't fall for that "quarter-lines on the forehead" trick twice.

Yeah, I know. I'm a whiner. It's always the same. The first ten minutes or so, I just dread. But after that, I get in the groove and enjoy the ride. It was just that so harder to get started after the time change. And it turned out good today in that I forgot it was Holloween. Got a bunch of candy on the way home. Especially enjoyed the red Tops gum drops. Red is my favorite flavor for candy.
