New commuter trike

It will be a few weeks before it's warm enough to ride much (snow predicted tonight), but I did ride it home from the shop... and am so glad I did! It's fun and I had my briefcase in back...

I have lights front and rear, and a water bottle holder, I need a bell but can't decide what I want, so am waiting on that for now.. I figure it will be a month or so before I do more than sidewalks and trails with it anyway.. need to build up some miles before I face the 6 miles each way...

Cool! Congrats!

Out of curiosity, why a trike?

Also... if there are not pictures, it didn't happen, so let's see some!

The best bells are made of brass. Crane is one maker that makes excellent brass bells.

I took the IMG tags off your link so we can share a look, but it didn’t help much

khyricat, fancy meeting you here!

I like my Oi! from Knog, and Incredibells are pretty loud and obnoxious. Mostly I have to yell, "Passing on your left!" because I seldom ride anyplace quiet enough for a bell.

not sure why the pic didn't post.. tried again.. we'll see if that worked.. (post before this), as to why a trike: I have a disease that can cause vertigo spells.. these days its mostly controlled, but 5 years ago I fell off my bike riding when I had an attack and that fear sticks.. I rented a trike on vacation and loved it... and am in more love as time goes on... riding home yesterday despite the cold headwind was great and I can't wait to go out again (but not in the snow right now!)

Hrm.. will have to look at those, I'll eventually be riding in traffic a bit, thats why I want it later, for now calling out will work on sidewalk/trails..... the commuter plans mean a bell in case would be a good thing (also a mirror, but debating how I want to do that still too)

Congrats!

I use these 2 different bells across different bikes:

https://www.mirrycle.com/item/incredibell-brass-duet/
https://www.amazon.com/Crane-Suzue-B.../dp/B001MS2KHA

(I notice a lot of imitation incredibell duets on amazon, cannot vouch for any of those)
