Great pictures Chewa, and a nice varied commute by the look of it. I can understand why there are some "no go" days in the winter - especially the bridge over the Firth... It must be really great in the summer

Originally posted by chester2 Brilliant photographs. I've been reading Ian Rankin's "Rebus" books recently, about a Edinburgh detective..not the sort of bloke who spends much time on a bike..but he is always talking about different places in Edinburgh. Some of those names in the photographs sound familiar from the books. Thanks |
Aaah, good to see your commute route again :D
My thoughts go back to the day i entered Edinburgh, i had my lunch on Princess street and a bagpiper was playing old songs, one word.....Amazing! I used the most of Chewa`s route to get through the city and over the bridge, its a hilly bugger, i tell you! |
Thank you for the photo essay of your very scenic commute. Your pictures make me want even more to visit my ancestral homeland.

I spent a week over there last spring...no bike...but really miss it and hope to get back there with a bike some time soon. Thanks for the memories.

Absolutely beautiful commute - I wish mine was like that. We don't have any interesting historic buildings out here - just rather soul-less tourist traps. :(
