Lawrence Massachusetts to Boston - Route Sought
 

Boston native, just moved from DC to Columbus, Ohio to Lawrence, Massachusetts. I am very disappointed with the lack of good infomation on commuting by bike in the Bay State. I want to go from Lawrence to Boston and back. Does anyone have a good route?

I don't know about the eastern part of the state, but around here all the bookstores carry this pretty nice set of bicycle maps covering preferred routes for cycling for various parts of the state. You also might try contacting the Metro Boston chapter of MassBike, I've gotten good information from the people at the Pioneer Valley chapter in the past. Lawrence to Boston seems like kind of a big hike to me, but somebody might have done it before.

hit up mapquest and look for routes that way.
Get a map and look for direct routes that are not on major roads

Try a few different routes out and see which you like best. The most direct routes will likely be the busiest, but some may be better than others.
