Check that CO2 pump
I replaced my dual CO2 / manual pump because the manual side didn't work. On the way home my front wheel flatted. Yes - that's right - the CO2 side takes only threaded cartridges [or I can't operate it]. The manual side worked - eventually. It doesn't make sense because two 16g threadless CO2 carts were included.
At least the sun was out and I found a telephone pole laid out as a bench on the MUP shoulder.

yeah, i got rid of my dual purpose inflator after getting one flat and breaking the manual part of the pump and blowing through the CO2 i carried, THEN getting a second flat via slow leak. Got a Topeak road morph and i never have to worry about running out of air again.

+1 on the road morph. I don't see much point in carrying CO2 when I can pump up a tire to 80 PSI with the Road Morph in about 2 minutes, and I don't ever have to replace anything. I can hit 110 in a couple more minutes but I don't go that high anymore.

First time I tried to use my "Second Wind" with unthreaded cartridges, I botched it. Twice, out on the road. Was riding with a guy who had a nice mini pump.
Then, I used it in the garage to air up a tire with an unthreaded cartridge, and it worked fine.
Moral: try at home before you trust it on the street.
There's a guy here at work with a Road Morph; I think I'm going to steal his.

Road Morph for the win!!!!
I have a Road Morph G at home, and carry a Road Morph Mini on my bike. The mini takes me about an extra minute to fill up my tires (If that...)
The only reason I have two pumps is because I left my Road Morph at someone's house, and it was a week before I was able to get back out there... bought the Mini in the mean time.

Those are all the reasons why i refuse to use CO2. I don't care how cheap it is. I'll take the extra minute or two to pump up my tire. It doesn't take long at all.
I like the road morph so much i bought two of them. Well, mostly because i have two bikes. But still...

What do you know, more riders catching the common sense flu! I hope this is a trend. But seriously, the CO2 is not all that great, it's only a bit faster then pumping but in reality way slower when you have to realize that you have to spend time going to a store and buying new carts, and replacing used ones with new ones in your saddle and throwing the old ones in the trash...although most cyclists just toss the old carts somewhere on the side of the road I see them all time laying about when I ride.
I just have the Torelli mini which was the lightest pump when I got it at 67grms and pumps to 100psi, but now there are several lighter and capable of more psi pumps available, but the Torelli is sturdy.
Topeak has a new mini called the Micro Rocket AL (65grms) and a CB (not sure how reliable carbon fibre is being used as a pump) that weighs 55grms and both pump up to 160psi.

I ride a bike in large part for environmental reasons, so I'm never going to use CO2, requiring me to throw something away every time I flat. I'm also going to patch my tubes until there's no room left for patches.

I guess we're getting some CO2 sequestered in roadie bike wheels anyway :-)
