4th backpack thread in a week

Not to be outdone. I bought a new backpack. It's true. I have a bag fetish.

This bag will fit my tennis gear on days I want to take my fast road bike (which doesn't have a rack).

Edit: Last summer, I used a Trek grocery pannier on my SS commuter (which has a rack) to haul my tennis gear to the courts.

Nice. How high does it sit? can you see over your shoulder well.

Some backpack snobs (yes, trust me, there are gear snobs in every sport, not just cycling) look down on REI bags, but my backpacking pack is a 2002 REI internal frame that has served me well for months in the woods.

By the way, where was the third thread? I only remember seeing two. :D

My OR backpack with tennis rackets inside sits up just behind my head. It's only 11 inches wide, though, so I think I can look over my shoulder OK. Haven't tried it on the bike yet.

I picked this bag because it was the smallest, lightest backpack that would fit my rackets. It isn't a perfect fit. The bag is 24 inches tall with the top rolled shut. My rackets are 27.5 inches long. My plan is to leave the top gaping open. In that configuration, the bag is a couple inches taller than my rackets.

Only thing I could say against the bag is that it is top loading only. I'm OK with that, but I can see how some people would want easier access to the stuff on the bottom. It is a tall skinny bag with an 11x9 inch hole at the top.
