Post your ride to work!
I was googling, and came upon a pretty groovy site. I hadn't seen this one before, and I like it much more than others I've come across.
So, I present to you my route to work. https://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=902422
Real quick, if you don't want to read the FAQ: Press start recording, and then double click on the map to create a point. Keep in mind that it doesn't do routes based on roads (which is why I love it!!) but rather gmap long/lat points. So when a route curves/turns/bends you may need to make a few extra clicks. This made it great for the forest preserve portion of my ride that no other mapper could handle.
I feel like such a fanboy, but it works.

Cool ... here is mine. Sometimes I complain about it, but, from the maps, I think I prefer it to pianomahnn's.

Wow. Very nice.
How does it calculate calories? I don't think that can be accurate. I was figuring that I was burning around 300 calories each ride. This website says that I'm burning 860 per ride (6.42 miles, with some hills).
I've ridden stationary bikes for the same duration of time and pedaled similarly to as I do for my ride. Then I only burn 400, and I think that's high. This can't be.

Yea, that calorie thing can't be right. There is no way I burned 2000 calories on my way to the office today.
That's the wonderful thing about my commute. Totals about 35 miles a day, no real need to spend extra time riding. This is the first week I'm actually attempting to ride all 5 days. Horrid weather days I just take public transit. We'll see how the weather holds up...

Only 8 km, but on the way home there's 64 m (210 feet) of climbing. Actually a little more since there's a bit of downhill in there as well.

I'll have more variations of the same route later. I am getting bored with using the same route over & over again so I am changing it up a little. I'll post those later.

This is the ride in. The ride home takes me down a MUP for about 1.5 miles but lets me avoid a nasty hill.
