I haven't actually started this commute yet since my bike is on order, but this is the route I intend to start taking in the next couple of weeks. It's short, but wish me luck. I'm new to all of this, but looking forward to getting out there.

Here's mine. As far as i know im the only person who commutes from nebraska to iowa every morning. Ive never seen anybody else on a bike.

Of course, if I go my short route I have a remarkable 30 foot climb.
The route doesn't show the beauty of my ride. Most of it follows the river and it's just great. Still, this is a fun tool. I mapped some alternate routes and found a good one that's just under 8 miles. Fun! I got to try that soon.

I'm totally topping this! New job = new way more cooler awesome route. Riding downtown is so much better than riding to the suburbs. Compare new route to old. What was once about 40 miles round trip is now 11 miles round trip. Sure, I love riding, but even though I'm riding less, I love the commute so much more.

This is my route. It says 12 miles, but my cyclo computers calls it 7.19...but actually it might be 12...now since I changed the route. Ugh...nah...It.s 7.19 according to my cyclo computer. What do you think is the cause for this difference.

Here's my route. Notice I go over a bridge, which is fine. But on the Jersey side I need to dismount and carry it down 20 steps. There's good city planning. Steps on a bridge bike path. Also, since i'm so close to Liberty State Park, it makes for a great lunchtime ride

Another cool site like this you guys might want to check out that I've been using is veloroutes.org/bikemaps and it maps elevation changes and actually tells you how much time you can expect to spend on the ride based on different average speeds. I thought it was pretty cool.
