Bell Helmet Citi/Metropolis

Anybody use one of these helmets? Bell Citi or Metropolis? If you use one or the other please tell me how you like them. Is it worth paying the extra money for the Metropolis? Thanks

I like my Citi. I tried the Metropoils because I like the idea of the flasher loop on the back but the Citi fit me better. Weird huh? The Metropolis uses a slightly different fitting system with three sizes of helmets. The Citi is a one size fits all and was a much better fit for me.

I have the Metro w/ the full accesory kit (Nashbar sent me the wrong one with all of the stuff.) Anyway I really like the helmet. I find the built in mirror works pretty well and it is easy to fold up if you don't need it. The liner and the ear protection for cold weather riding work suprisingly well. All in all a good purchase. I would reccomend it.

i had a metro for a while but recently upgraded to the bell variant for commuting.

its got a similar look but even lower profile than the metro and less sci fi looking than most lids, and unlike the metro, i can fit my suglasses in the vents when i dont need them.

highly rec the variant to anyone whos looking for a decent looking, well ventilated commuter lid.

I've used the Metro for a few years, great for commuting. I have the mirror but not the other accessories. I really like having the helmet mount mirror rather than a bar mount, but that's just me.

I use the Metro - no complaints! It was a little pricey when I bought it, but I liked the looks (matte black). The visor helps with the sun and rain nicely.

Get something you like the looks of - it'll make it nicer to wear it!

If you just want a helmet the Citi is a good choice. If you ride year round the accessories on the Metro are very nice. I got one last year and really like the rain shield and helmet liner with ear flaps. Due to my large head wearing a hat under a regular helmet is very difficult. The Metro allowed me to get away with a liner down to 10F. The mirror is not the greatest but is well integrated.
One of my best investments for winter riding.

I bought a medium Bell Metro at Nashbar a couple of years ago. I still use them to this day on my 42-mile commute (R/T). It came with all the accessories, and still priced the same today. Check this out.

I have the Citi and I like it. It fits my round head fairly well. I tried out the Metro visor mirror on the Citi's visor and it fits decently, if anyone is wondering.

I have Bell Citi. Lightweight, fits fine, no complaints. After a few rides in 75 or warmer weather, it seems well enough ventilated too, though we'll find out this summer just how well.
