been working at the same building for the past year but have always locked my bike by the dumpsters. although i dont mind its kind of an insult. i commute by bike and the first thing i see when i get to work is trash.

ive seen and read plenty of things about bike racks being targets for bike thiefs but i think the idea of at least having one is good. others who work in the building commute by bike too and i think they bring their bikes into their work.

we'll see how this plays out. updates to come...

Lock up by the dumpsters? Are they in an isolated area? Could possibly be a health and safety issue. Employees may be exposed to a dangerous situation, thing or people because of the lack of proper facilites.

It's probably too much to hope for something like this:

In addition, Olympia's “Racks-on-Demand” program installs small A-shaped racks on sidewalks in the downtown for businesses that lack space to accommodate bike parking.

but hey, you could try and ask your town!
