I've gone through probably 2 tires during that time but I know for a fact that Walmart isn't stocking Continental GP4000 tires.

BTW-Giro Atmos helmets don't fit me well but the Bell Sweep, which is what I'm currently wearing, fits me perfectly. On a side note, I tried on one of the latest Giro Atmos helmets and it actually felt more comfortable than some of the ones I tried on last year.

as far as tubes go, I usually go with my LBS but I have bought tubes from Dicks Sporting goods that were just fine and had the "road" type of tubes...

I bought a good couple of wicking t-shirts from Wal-Mart - $7 each and not noticably worse than my Adidas wicking t-shirt. They're probably all made in the same Chinese factory anyway...

My expensive Pearl Izumi gloves that I got maybe a month ago are already shredding at the area where the fingers meet the top of the palm. By comparison, the cheap Schwinn gloves I got at Target are still intact in that area after a year of use (I got the PIs because I needed something with thicker padding).

I got a temporary helmet from some outdoor store and it has a ton of vents. Problem is the inside of the foam is all flat and has no channels for airflow. My new LG helmet I got at performance on sale has less vents but has nice little channels and keeps my head oh so much cooler and drier. :) Only problem I have found is it is soo loud over 10mph I can't hear the crickets :(

Funny, I never looked inside my Wally Schwinn helmet. The Ironman's inside is contoured to channel air though. I'll have to go and check that Schwinn. But, FWIW, the Schwinn cost me $16.99 and my Ironman's only cost $14.99 each. I think Wally World ripped me off that one.
