New Bike

Here is my new bike that I picked up today. https://www.specialized.com/bc/SBCBkM...006&spid=21592 (I bought the white version) I am using it to commute to and from work 9 miles one way. I also have a Gary Fisher Mt. Bike that I was using to commute to work. I shaved 15 minutes off my time just making the switch to this bike.

Its not a bad bike for a off the rack bike, I think. I got it for 800.00 out the door with 2 armadillo tires and 2 new tubes with slime. I am new to the whole road bike thing. So if you have any suggestions as to what to change, or what may go wrong with the bike please let me know.

Uh keep the tires inflated to max. Spandex makes you go even fastAR.

Generally the idea is if it ain't broke don't fix it!

What may go wrong - hmm if you lived here and could not take that bike inside work with you, somebody would steal it.

Can you mount a rack to the bike? Probably you don't want to anyway to add weight to a speedy bike. But I like carrying my work stuff in a pannier to keep the weight and sweat off the back.

nice bike. I ride a 2002 Allez Sport as well. Looks like Specialized is cutting back though. My Allez triple Sport has full 05 components. Mavic Xp21 or whatever wheels, and ritchey hubs and handlebars
