Thanks, I love these little posts! Very interesting. The streets are in some kind of crazy-bad shape there, aren't they? I guess AZ has it easy, as far as weather affecting the roads, though, so I'm probably spoiled.

I'm going to visit New York this fall. Maybe I should bring or rent a bike, and ride around a bit while I'm there, looks like fun. :)

I've only been to Manhattan once and I walked a lot of it. How far is it (in miles or km) from 79th street to Battery Park?

Probably close to 6.5-7 miles for me.
