One non turn washer on nexus hub

Can I use just one non turn washer on my nexus hub? I want to use a Surly tuggnut on the drive side and a non turn on the non drive side.

My NuVinci, SRAM, and Sturmey-Archer hubs all used a "non-turn" washer on only one side, haven't owned a Nexus yet, but I would expect it is the same.
