TransIT Metro Pannier (messenger bag duo)

Hello, I was wondering if anyone has experience with this bag that is for sale at performancebike.com. Is it a quality pack? 49.99+ at Performance.

I am also up to suggestions for other bags for a 10 mile (1 way) commute to college meaning books, binder, pens, etc.

i have it and i'm generally pretty pleased with it. holds a change of clothes and a few other odds and ends plus it has a built in rain cover. i've never bothered with using it as a messenger bag. i usually just take it off the bike when i get to work and use the top carry handle to take it up to my office. i'll probably upgrade to something higher quality in the future but this guy is working well for now.

Follow up: I bought this bag from performancebike.com and it was great at first! I was pleased with the design and it mounted and dismounted easily onto and off of my delta rack. It then began to rip on the inside liner. It probably never would have started doing this if I hadn't picked up the bag fully loaded with the main cover unbuckled. This allowed the weight to supported by the weak inner lining of the bag. If you plan on lifting the bag without closing it all the way then this bag will probably rip, otherwise it seemed like it could hold up without a problem. Otherwise I was pleased with it and I wish I didn't have to give it up.

I bought a Carradice Bike Bureau for $80 more that I have high expectations for.
