I didn't forget anything, but I should have brought warmer clothes. And some tea. Dammit, I'm getting a head cold.

I forgot underwear the other day. That wouldn't have been a big deal but I also forgot a belt. Going without just didn't seem like a good idea so I put on my swim jammer that I happened to have in my office. The only problem with that was that it was still a little damp. Sitting damp in an office chair is not fun.

I have forgotten my key to my locker twice, luckily the maintenance guy has a spare. I forgot a shirt once and had to run to the mall a block over and get a new one. Have forgotten a towel numerous times and depleted the papertowel dispensor cleaning up.

I sometimes drive to work with the bike on the truck then bike home. I learned the hard way to leave the truck keys at the office when I do that.

Well the other day I managed to lock my wife's car keys in her trunk. And yep, you guessed it the spare was on my keyring with the truck keys at the office. I got to bike to work that night too.

Made sure to bring all essentials today. After missing underwear the last two days, I wasn't going to have that fashion faux pas happen today.

Water! Gahh! I had so much crap in my hands and arms that once I loaded up my messenger bag and got on the road, I didn't notice for 10 blocks that both my bottle cages were empty. Luckily my commute was only about 25-30 minutes, but I started to suffer on the last hill climb. My filled water bottle is still sitting on the shelf next to my bike rack at home...think that's a first in about a decade of riding...

I have yet to remember my lunch this week. It's like that spot in my brain has malfunctioned, or something, I can't figure out what the deal is.

Oh well .

I keep a t-shirt, pair of socks, and underwear at work in case I forget these essentials. I leave dress shoes at the gym so they're always there. I sometimes wear my flat soled SPD shoes on Fridays with jeans as they look like retro, urban shoes. Nobody is the wiser until I tap tap tap into the breakroom.

A short sleeve jersey to wear home. I wore a heavy, winter jersey in this morning (52 degrees F), but its predicted to be near 80 on the way home.

A lock for the bike. Fortunately a bike shop is on my commuting route. I now have a lock at work, next to my shoes and socks, in a desk drawer.

Oh, and if you hadn't guessed, I forgot socks one day. Shoes I always leave at work to avoid lugging them around on the bike.

I keep my regular work shoes at work and have a backup set at home in case I don't ride in. The thing that I've forgotten a few times is my security badge. No problems with forgotten clothes...yet...

Spare shoes at work! Brilliant!

I have forgotten my lunch a few times and had it become dinner by default.

Not too bad today - I forgot my cycling glasses. It was a lot cooler this morning - 48F and I didn't encounter too many bugs.
In the past I've forgotten my badge, phone, towel, and underwear. I sometimes start w/o camelback or helmet but usually don't get more than 100' before realizing something is wrong.

I keep all my shoes here (by season) at work, just getting ready to take the Summer stuff home and bring in the winter Fall/Winter stuff.

I have a nappy-looking old pair of shoes here that I work in, so they're always here. I have in the past forgotten deodorant, socks, underwear. So I usually keep an emergency stash of those three things somewhere in my office, just in case.

Doesn't matter. I have three sets of clothes in my desk.
Though I did accidentally take my belt home and forgot to bring it back.
My new 34 inch waist shorts saved me from going to Target.

Several times coming home from work late at night, I have forgotten my helmet.

But the biggest forgetting is that on 9/11 our company let us go home early because our customer base was in chaos. A friend offered me a ride home in his pickup. So I took my backpack off to put the bike in back. Then we drove home. At home I realized that I had left the backpack in the parking lot. So I had to ride all the way back to work. Fortunately, the pack was still there. And then I rode back home. I guess most of us were a little off kilter that day.

A small forgetting but important was that when I flew my Peugeot to Europe in the 1970s I forgot a spacer for the rear wheel. I had switched out the components so I was using Japanese components and had to muddle through using washers. Strangely, I did end up bringing my motorcycle's owners manual in my back pocket. That will teach me to pack up and move out of my apartment and get ready for bike touring at the same time.

Forgot to put water in my water bottle today. Last night forgot my drawing materials. This after I had packed every other art supply into my pack.

It's okay. Having your underwear show above your pants is all the rage these days!

Hasn't it been that way for 10 years or so? You would think something new would come up. However, I hear the police like it.
Fortunately the size shorts I had were perfect without a belt. My other pair would have hit the ground in no time flat.
