New Bike For Local Commutes

Sunday was Mrs Biketony's birthday. Today is our third anniversary! She's admired the Electra Amsterdam bicycle, so I took her to one of our LBS to get her one. She seems to be very comfortable riding this bike, and actually has an easier time on hills than she does with her 21 speed Trek. Go figure. It appears that my wife is a 3 speed fan! Next comes the (woven) rear basket for the obligatory bottles of wine and baguettes...And, yes, she usually wears a helmet.

Sweet, Tony! Please offer her my congratulations and I hope to see her stylin' around the neighborhood soon.

Those are fine looking bicycles. Congrats on the anniversary and on the purchase! My wife loves her Electra Townie and we've done cheese and wine picnics with it. If you do the basket with baguettes and bottles, you simply must post a pic.

We will definitely post a pic of that impending picnic. Perhaps the dog can snap a photo or two! Hey-he's small enough to fit into a basket. And Donna, you will certainly be seeing Suzi, er...Mrs Biketony...riding around town. She figures that since she rode to the Central Library, she can go anywhere around here!
