Well, I've had an opportunity to ride around a bit with the Grip Kings and I really like them. Unlike pedals with pegs/posts, the Grip Kings will not shred your legs either. The worst I can imagine is a minor scrape. They do indeed grip very well. I like the large surface area. I thought it might be a problem because my foot wouldn't end up in the right place - but positioning the ball of my foot over the pedals spindles just seems to happen naturally. And they are awesome looking pedals.
I would probably not recommend them for someone with exceptionally wide feet/shoes, as they are a narrower pedal. Perfect for me, though. |
Not so hot in the rain.

I have opted for Grip Kings based on the comments. I ride with trainers most of the time and the pedals that came on my Trek FX have always dug into my feet. Looking forward to trying the Grip Kings.

I use the MKS Sneakers pedals Rivendell sells, and I’m very happy with them. $30, good grip, and great smooth bearings.
