To be clear, I am not suggesting that people ride like they expect people to yield to them. That's just idiotic. My post was in response to a post where the person seemed to be thinking to themselves that they don't really deserve to be on the road. It seems that even a lot of cyclists don't think that they really have a right to be there, when in fact, as far as legality, they have more of a right than cars do. In fact car drivers don't really have a "right" to be there at all.Originally Posted by yamcha
You need to ride more defensively. It's a myth to think that you have equal rights on the the road as a car and trying to enforce that myth will just get you killed.
You have a right to hang a $2000 camera on your neck and walk around in the meanest neighborhoods too. That doesn't mean it's a good idea to do so, but you should realize that your rights are being stepped on by people who are not following the law. I feel it's a good idea to remember what rights are being taken from you by the idiots, and when people seem to think that they never had that right in the first place, I like to let them know that they DO have the right, but it's being infringed upon by others.
Too many people are just letting rights go these days.
