All I can do is cry...

So I went for a training ride today; I have a two mile hill to climb on my way to work, and I'm a bit out of shape, so I'm training a little before starting to commute. At any rate it got a bit windy and all I could do was cry (well ok, I wasn't crying, my eyes where just watering up a lot) due to it drying out my eyes, which made me worry about when I'll be commuting and end up at the office with completely dry eyes.

So what do other people do to protect their eyes in the wind?

I wear glasses - regular ones in the winter, and sunglasses in the summer. Not only the wind, but it helps to keep the bugs out.

Refresh Tears brand eyedrops work really well for me.
I use the contact lens drops and they are stunning, I used to use the normal drops and they are good.
Worth a shot I guess...

Safety glasses, i get them from work so i have an assortment: clear, indoor/outdoor and shaded. They're the kind that sorta wrap around your head so they're good wind protection. I have some gravel on my route and i'm always worried about debris from vehicles hitting me in the eye.

Sunglasses- the no-cry bugcatcher for cyclists. Also gives you that secret service vibe.

Those look cool, I like that they come with several lenses. Then again, safety glasses are a nice cheap solution.

I wore regular safety glasses for over 17 years on the job. I've worn my Wileys on the job too. I prefer the Wileys above and beyond any cut rate pair of safety glasses, and I've worn them all.

Glasses, are not just for their bug, sun, and wind protection. If you cut through parks, ravines, and MUP's they provide useful branch protection as well, particularly at night.

Exactly the reason that I recommend Wiley-X brand.

Inexpensive inter-changeable-lens sunglasses from Performancebike.com do it for me.

I have a cheap pair of glasses from Performance that change with the light. Comes in handy on pedestrian tunnels.
