Full Fenders for Giant OCR
Anyone ever tried to put a set of full fenders on a Giant OCR1/2/3 for commuting? I know the option was available on the OCR Touring but its geometry was different.
Planet Bike and SKS both make clip ons that look like they would fit, however I am curious about a full fender setup. |
I use PlanetBike Freddy Fender Hardcores on my Motobecane. Don't know how well they would work on your Giant but I've had no problem with mine and I have a suspension fork. Give em' a look.

I remembered this and searched the commuter bike pics forum...top post has a description. Unfortunately the pics don't appear to be appearing. Maybe you can pm the op?

Planet Bike makes a full fender clip on. I use them and am very happy with the setup. They are solid.

I went to the LBS Saturday and grabbed a set of the Freddy Fender Hardcores 35mm, they fit exactly with no room to spare. The only down side is that I can only run my 700c x 25 tires with them, my 700c x 28 will not work. I can live with that.
I did 107 miles yesterday in Ohio, wet roads all the way. These things worked excellent. Thanks for the advice. |

Thanks for this information! I have an OCR 2 I use to commute on and have been wondering if I could run 700 x 28 tires and also weather full fenders can be installed.
David I attached a couple of pics of what they look like. |

After taking a closer look and making some adjustements, 700 x 28 MIGHT fit with these. I no longer have my 700 x 28 tires so I can't put them on to be sure however it may be possible.
