Which Bike?
 

I am unsure on which bike to get for my commute to work, I have a Cannondale T800 that I use for touring but do not want to use it for my daily commute to work, I have a chance to buy a Schwinn Le Tour III thats in fantastic shape (one owner with original fenders and rack) for 175.00 which seems a little high priced or a Specialized Globe (frame only with BB and crank) for $50. I have a set of wheels,seats,handle bars and stems laying around the house to finish off the Globe. Old style Schwinn looks nice but will it handle decent? Both bikes are about a two hour drive from me and I plan on picking one or the other up next week. Any recommendations?

I had a LeTour III back in the late 70s and it was a wonderful bike for what it was, which was a $250 high-school kid's 10-speed. If you could get it for $100 it would be cool but $175 is too much.

The Globe, though, is very cool and would be worth building up if you have the parts.
