I know I'm often a jerk, but I'm not understanding the recent trend of people posting a link to their site/blog that contains a link to a news article.

The most direct route would be to link straight to the article right? It would be one thing if it was your original content, but it just seems like self promotion.

No, it's not just you, but every post you've made lately links to that site.

How heavy are these bikes? I can't see them being that much heavier than a all steel tourer or a comfoer bike. I think you'd do better asking over in the Touring forum where they're running full luggage and pulling trailers.

And I'm going to be a bit of a jerk too. I'm getting tired of all these companies selling electro-powered whizbangs and being all smarmy about how wonderful they are for the environment. Unless they've got a generator hub or are solar, the batteries powering these things need to be plugged into the grid to be recharged. While it may not be as bad as gas,it's still not the zero impact they like to play it up as.

sorry, here is the direct link.

http://www.bikeradar.com/gear/category/ ... ters-29626

www.ebikehub.com basically has a collection of e-bike news stories on the site. This was one of them.
The tires look good though ,really durable. I thought it might be useful info for a commuter. The purpose of the site is to make it easy for people to find info. Suprisingly, quite a number of commuters use the site and e-bikes. I just wanted to pass it on
