The rack

I added the rack. Thanks for all of your "essence" comments

Nice.
Is it me or does the rack not look level?
I suppose leaning forward is better than backwards.

My Topeak rack came with install instructions that recommended a slight forward angle, much as this bike has. (The camera also seems to be a little off from level, and the slanted top tube exaggerates this effect.)

Congrats on the rack! You'll come to wonder how you got by without it.

Oh wow... dude.. we take back everything we said about racks being good... they just don't work on your bike... sorry...

... kidding!.. Looks good.

Next time you put it in the workstand, though, don't clamp the top tube, put the clamp on the seatpost instead. It'll be real easy to squeeze a dent into the top tube if you've got it like in your third pic, whether just through clamping force or tugging on the frame just right.

So I'm not the only one who installs a rack with a wrench and a level? Thank you, I thought I was crazy.

Rack looks really good.

You should move your blinkies from the seatstays to a mount at the rack deck so they're not blocked by the rack stanchions.

*cries* it's looks waaaay to similar to my trek now. I demand you take your rack off... or at least spray paint it an ugly colour!

But seriously, looks good.

Looks good.

How does the rack attach to the frame? Does that Trek have braze-ons or some sort of mounting holes for a rack?

My model of Trek doesn't and I've been thinking of adding a rack.

The 7.2 FX has braze-ons, so I imagine the 7.5 FX would too.
