I'd rather wait and get a book with the first YEAR's strips.
Any plans for something like that? Maybe a limited edition signed by the artist???

This is a print-on-demand book, available only online. There's no ISBN, which is what retailers like Amazon require for them to offer it for sale.

Because I wanted to offer it in full color, I kept the page count to half a year's worth of strips to keep the cost down.

The folks I asked suggested a collection every six months - for the above reasons and because some people prefer to read comics on pulp instead of between pixels

We'll see how it goes.

Take a look at the article in this link - particularly, the last three paragraphs (note - the article continues over two pages). I'd say this is what you've suffered from, given the speed it was deleted.

Because it was likely written in a style that made the mods think it was written by omeone involved in the strip.

If you want the article on wikipedia to stick then you need to write it in a very unbiased and unexcited tone. You need to avoid providing links to the website within the article, and you definitely shouldn't talk about the book yet.

I'd write it, but I'm the worlds worst writer. But if you want to send me a suggested article I'll happily proof it and tell you if the tone is right.

Wikipedia does have a rule that you're never supposed to write articles on something you're involved in. So, sorry Rick, but you shouldn't write an article about Yehuda on wikipedia. If Yehuda is really interesting, according to wikipedia theory, some random set of individuals will describe it better than Rick could. If you sound like you're Rick when you write the article it'll definitely get deleted.

Um, the name is becnal. And I would say 99%, if not 100% of the entries in Wikipedia were written by people who did not invent or create the topic itself. Do you think Charles Schultz added the Snoopy entry in Wikipedia?

No, I proposed the author may have written in a tone that seemed as if only the subject could be so biased. What I mean is that the author may have been so psyched about the strip that he made it very apparent in his writing.

No one wants to read an encyclopedia which is super stoked about everything.

The strip is brilliant. I don't agree with all.points brought up...ie bicycle helmets on kids....but that is part of it's brilliance, it brings all the points up.

I am not sure if I am happy or not that this will probably not go mainstream due to the almost specialized knowledge needed to really apprieciate it....it's kind of fun to have a secret jewel, but on the other hand I wish Rick success.

Doesn't matter. These online comics do better if they don't go mainstream. Ever heard of Penny-arcade? You virtually have to be a gamer to get it: In fact, the fewer video games I played the less I got it and so the less I read it. But it's wildly successful and powerful within its genre.

It'll never be in a newspaper, but that's what will keep it from sucking.
