Can anyone tell me about Louis Garneau bikes?

A google search and a search on the forums aren't really helping me with Louis Garneau bicycles (though lots of hits for other products though).

One of my LBS' have a bunch of Louis Garneau hybrid bikes like the Oceana at very good prices (on sale for under $400). The problem with this particular shop is that every single time I go in, no one seems really interested in helping me out and honestly unless they're behind the counter I don't know who I should be approaching (that guy standing over there, is he a salesperson or a mechanic or a customer or just a groupie???). So I took a quick look today, but didn't really have time to really shop.

I'm just wondering if anyone knows anything about the Louis Garneau bikes, particularly their hybrid line.

Thanks in advance.

If you're being ignored, grab a bike and start heading towards the door. Someone will show up.

Sorry, no help about the brand.

LOL yeah. Those brand of bikes they had, among other hybrids, were pretty inexpensive. I'd rather give my business to the other bike shop I normally go to, but the price is about right... even with the cruddy service.

I have a similar dilemma with a local bike shop. They're cheap and they don't have a waiting list for services (basic tune up or whatever) - but it's almost impossible to get the staff's attention. I'm considering tackling somebody next time...

LG bikes are pretty basic I would say. Nothing special, but nothing bad either.
I only took a quick look at the LG bikes on display at my LBS.

https://www.brownssports.com/ Bloor/Jane. Nice service and have a nice selection.

otherwise good shops that carry many lines are here:
https://www.labicicletta.com/ high end store, but good service.
https://www.wheelsofbloor.com/ high end store, but good service.
https://sweetpetes.com/ lots of kona, trek, giant to choose from.
https://ucycle.com/ good shop, nice service, nice selection.
https://www.broadwaycycle.ca/ mostly MTB, some road and some commuters, good service.
https://bikesonwheels.ca/ Good selection on jamis bikes, lots of classics stocked, some folders, good service.

Best to drop by the store since the websites don't have the entire floor listed.
there are more, but I figured I should leave it at those.
