DIY Bike Bag?

Anyone ever make one up?

I have a purchased one but it is far to big to compact down to throw on the back of my bike to continue my journey after a train jaunt.

What I am thinking is something very light weight/light material and will fold up very well. It does not have to be as strong as a typical bike bag as I plan on perhaps designing it so that the strap goes through the bag and hooks onto the bike frame.

Yes I would buy one if I could find one like this but here in Japan bikes are very small and so are their bike bags .

Any links on such a beast or recommendation on material type etc is greatly appreciated. Heck even designs as well.

I have a similar dillemma and did some googling. I found this:

Formosa Bicycle Cover

and also one from Nashbar (also available on their site).

I just need to have one for bus rides so my bike can go in the luggage compartment without messing up anyone else's luggage. I think these should work, but haven't tried either of them out yet. I'll probably be making a purchase from Nashbar soon.

Maybe a rack bag with more capacity could hold your cover.

This is my old bike with a collapsible tool bag mounted to the rack. I could roll up a two-man tent and cram it into that thing. (And don't laugh at the handlebars... I was just a newb, when I built that bike .)
