Just two. My 2005 Sun EZ-Rider AX 'bent and my old 80's vintage Trek 820 Antelope ATB. n+1 will likely be a tadpole trike or an Easy Racers GRR.

If this is not proof that I'm obsessive compulsive, I don't know what is........
Numbers...I have no idea, there is a fine line between "way too many" and "That looks really cool!"
I have a fondness for English Steel, and French, and I'm pretty sure Bike technology hit it's peak in about 1980.
Edit: Loads, made for a mile long post... I need to clean the garage too.

I only have one so far: 2008 Trek 7000 hybrid. I want more.
But for some of us this seems to be the wrong question... let's rephrase it.

I see from the prior posts that this is not enough. I'm currently keen on a Miyata Triple Cross hybrid that looks pretty nice. It's a flat bar job which I've got covered quite well already. Thinking about buying it and converting it to more of a touring rig with drop bars and barcons or brifters. God help me. Anybody have any 7 speed shifters they want to unload cheap?

My wife and I have three, but they are good ones!
Ten years of apartment living...I just never had much room for bicycles. If it were up to me I'd have a dozen or more... ranging from a unicycle to a tandem. Now we live in a house, so I could start building up my stable if only I could afford it along with the mortgage payments!
Since we used to have more disposable income, but less space, we at least have three really nice bikes.
I still have the Pinarello lugged steel racing bike with Campagnolo parts that I raced in the late 80s.
Five or six years ago I upgraded my commuter/general all-rounder bike from a mountain bike to a Rivendell Atlantis that is still my main bike.
A few years after that my wife got a Rivendell Wilbury. These Rivendells are beautiful bikes, and also really practical and comfortable.
What do I want next? I want another hardtail mountain bike now that I live near trails again. I also want a new lugged steel road bike that is larger and more comfortable than the Pinarello, but lighter and faster than the Atlantis. I'd love a custom Rivendell or a Rambouillet... or any number of other lugged steel sport-touring/club racing bikes. I'd really like an A.N.T. utility bike with a nice wood and steel cargo carrier as well.

Apparently "I" have twelve!!!(and two trailers). Only four are mine, but they're bikes, so the wife says I have a ton of bikes.

I have three at the moment. My Univega is my road bike, for racing, training, riding and fast commuting. It's somewhat antiquated and heavy, but it gets the job done. My Surly LHT is my Do Everything bicycle. Commuting, touring and hauling are its intended purposes, and it accomplishes those tasks most effectively. Finally, my Trek is for tearing it up on the local trails. I just built it last month, and it is a blast! At the moment, it's my only bike intended strictly for fun.
In the fall, I'm hoping to be able to afford a nice new road bike to take over racing and training duties from the Univega. That would bring my total up to four, which I think is a good cap, given that I will probably be living in apartments for some time to come. In an ideal universe, I would swap the Univega for a Salsa Casseroll Triple to take over the more utilitarian duties of the Univega, as well as winter training. It would also probably take over long-distance riding duties (such as they are) from the Surly. But I don't think that my wallet will cooperate with that idea! Maybe if they're still making the Casseroll in 2010!

Salsa Casseroll - commuting, errands, light touring
Gunnar Rock Tour w/Rohloff - trails, on/off road touring
Bike Friday NWT folder - short tours, otherwise lives at folk's cabin
I used to have 7, but I feel bad seeing bikes sitting around if they're not getting regular use.

Technically two, though I don't know what happened to one *was a extremely cheap Wal-Mart bike* and then a Dawes 1200 road bike. I might be buying a Trek 4300 here within a week though.

I have just finished my third. Don't yet know what the forth bike will be.
2007 Felt F1X
1997 Schwinn Mesa 2x2
2008 Transition Vagrant
The Mesa is kinda like my commuting bike. I work from home, but if I need to get to the post office, bank, bar or a friend's house, I ride it.

It's a tidal force electric bike. Several years ago they were the cream of the crop, but like computers they've evolved disgustingly fast. By comparaison I made an electric extracycle built of of junked POS bikes that weighs less that that... It's one of my commuters because it has full fenders. Before it was xtracyclised + electrified it was an POS MTB with fenders. The day to day, fair weather commuting bike is my singlespeed '81 Peugeot UO-9. Much better ride, can't haul a passenger tho.

5... see below.
Yes, I do use them all! Often ride 3 in each week because they're each for different types of riding.

Just one Surly LHT. Like most here, I wouldn't mind having more arrows in my quiver, but the Surly's pretty versatile.

2000 GT Rebound- grocery bike
2004 GT ZR 4.0- road bike
2007 Kona PaddyWagon- fixedgear
Someone left a Raleigh Olympian in the house I moved into. I would ride it but it's a 63cm frame, I think. It's very comfortable to ride, except for the fit. I would love to get rid of it if anyone is interested.

I just started about 6 months ago and only have one. I do plan on having at least 2 more, FG/SS and a mountain bike.
