Arkel Tail Rider
Alright, well the Arkel Tail Rider is absolutely perfect for what i need, but doesn't quite agree with my budget.
Is there anything similar that is perhaps cheaper?

I feel for you. I wanted to buy one too, but decided against it because of price. I had a couple of bulky panniers I was lugging around for every commuting trip and every ride because I didn't have a saddle bag or a trunk bag. I just went ahead and bought what my LBS had in stock. It's working out beautifully so far, as all I really needed was a way to consolidate my small load.
