Well, if they yell at you, it means they saw you, right?

20 miles is quite the commute for a graduation party. That's just about all the way across Omaha isn't it?
Sorry to the rest of the forum, but Lincolnites whining about Omaha is pretty commonplace hereabouts.

Lincoln definitely has a better trail system than Omaha, so I think you can muck about town with fewer car/bike encounters.

This poster has some experience in O. For example the yellow light means floor it, and the red does have a 5 second delay before it really counts. Thus when driving in O. I have a habit of waiting/looking both ways before going through busy intersections.

On the bright side I ride to work 3-4 times a week and I have never been yelled at with personal insults. Honked at, yes, and the ubiquitous "get off the road", "use the sidewalk".

Losers live everwhere:

I forgot all about the Keystone Trail; I used to only jog up & down it between Blondo and Aksarben, but never thought of how much farther it went.

Oh, and Omaha used to have good drivers, but all the new jobs moving into town also brought drivers who didn't know what they were doing (eight-way intersections that were once civilized became free-for-alls ). It mostly went downhill during the 1990's; before, they were still pretty good, but by 1999 it got dumb.
