A Rare Day

I had one of those rare days:

I hit only 2 of 25 red lights, all the rest were green. I had a tailwind all the way to work. and I made it in record time. I may have to face the wind on the way home, but this morning was great. Temps were in the 50s. Can't ask for much more on a morning ride (17 miles).

Very nice.

Sort similar - Last night I took a "long" way home . It was only a mile more but I avoided 5 lights. It took me 5 min less.

Congratulations, you got to work early.

Hey I've lived in Layton before! Seems like it would be pretty fun to commute there. Here in Utah county I had a wonderful tail wind on the way to work. There's nothing like going 30+ mph, with very little effort and NO wind noise. I could hear birds chirping and pedestrians talking outside while I was booking it.

The ride back home is another story...

On the way home there is one down hill section with three stop lights spaced about 200 yards apart and I don't recall ever getting all three green. It really pisses me off. I'd be happy to have all the others red, if i could get just those three green. But no. Jeeze, it's got a nice flat section afterwards where I could up the speed. Anyways, enjoy your good fortune.
