How far...
How far do people commute and how long does it usually take you on average?
I just installed my computer and now I can see how far I go and how long it takes me. Just wondering.
I commute 6 miles and it took me 22 minutes. I don't know if that is slow or fast. This is also at 5:30 in the morning with hardly any traffic but a few annoying traffic lights.
How about you guys?

6 miles / (22/60 hours) = 16.4 mph, which isn't too shabby with light delays.
I do 8.5 miles in 35-45 minutes, but this is door to door, including lot of delays.

Rolling time or total time. If you got it off your cyclocomputer it is probably rolling time. So my rolling time is about 25 minutes for 8.5 miles.

13 miles, somewhere around an hour. Sometimes more, sometimes less.

17 miles 52-58 minutes depending on the wind. This is rolling time, so, maybe I should check actual time next time I come in. On the way back it is from 1:03 - 1:15, depending on the wind, and there a couple hills I have to travel up.

It's 8.5 km one way, slightly downhill to work. Older urban with lots of stop signs and traffic lights. Usual times 25 min going in, 30 coming home. Best times 17 min going in, 23.5 min coming home.

I work over yonder a ways, and I get there when I get there. (Unless I've got something time-sensitive to do. Then I get there quickly.)

That being said, if I do intervals, I can make it in 8-10 minutes.

Nothing to be ashamed about. When I first started commuting on my cheap $100 mtn bike it took me 45 minutes to an hour! Wow, talk about embarrassed!

5.5 miles about 20-25 minutes...i tend to take my time on the way home and add more distance
i am thinking about mapping some alternate routes for those gorgeous summer mornings

2 miles - 12 minutes on the way to work, 8 on the way back. Not hilly, I just like a gentle non sweaty ride to work and there's quite a few junctions where I need to wait for gaps in traffic and lights to change.
