If you dont ride home today, the drivers in all the cars will not rethink spending so much money on gas when they can bike to work. If you dont ride home today, the drivers will not get out the bicycle next Saturday and take it for a quick spin. If you do not ride home today, Mike, one of the drivers wont set aside his big mac and decide to loose his excess weight through cycling. If you do not ride home today, three year old johnny will soon lose his father Mike in a severe heart attack. If you do not ride home today, johnny will attempt to grow up in todays world without a father for guidance. If you do not ride home today, you wont get home, and neither will Mike....

No ride home = no beer, limiting calorie intake, restless sleep tonight, slow sluggish feeling in the morning, aches and pains reappearing........

So ride home and then you can enjoy life.

Okay... do you want to eat dinner at home? Watch TV? Sleep in your own bed?

If not, then don't ride home. Stay there and sleep under your desk. If that doesn't sound like fun, you better saddle up cowboy!

I never have trouble getting motivated to ride home. It's riding TO work that I have a problem with

see, here's the thing, my El Camino is RIGHT here...I drive it in on Mondays with the bike in the bed and drive it home Fridays...so...I COULD drive home...and the morning ride is actually what gets me going.

BUT YOU KNOW WHAT?!

you guys (and I mean that asexually, OF COURSE...eff how I HATE political correctness) have MORE than motivated me to get up off my big ace and pedal home.

and you guys are frackin funny too...hahaha

If you don't ride your bike will still be at work and you won't be able to ride tomorrow morning.
See if you can leave a little early and just ride slower or take a different route to mix up your commute.
What are your other options? Public transport is usually slower and you will regret it 5 minutes after you get on the bus, not to mention how dumb you'll feel if a bike passes the bus.
Good luck.

Race something. Bus, car minivan. Wave at every motorist you see. Make it interesting. Stop by the store and pick up some bananas. Or beer? Have something at home to look forward to.
