There's a lot of hate going on around here...

Why do people find it necessary to put down people's personal preferences as if they're holier than thou?

Do they really feel it necessary to put down people because they use more than 2-3 gears? Do they really have to put people down because they like riding narrow flat bars? Do they really have to put all brakeless riders down for being brakeless when some of those riders can probably dust us out there on the streets?

We're all guilty of it, I realize why I do it sometimes, but come on, some of these threads are getting ridiculous.

Bah - check out the MTB forum here for awhile and then come back here and feel the love!

I agree there's a bit too much of that, but it's not that bad in the overall scheme of Internet bulletin boards. I know of car forums where you can't claim the sky is blue without being called every name in the book!

Oh hell yea. I've seen people get into huge fights over whether they thought a single picture was faked or not on a web forum.

I mean, holy crap, if you looked at some of the posts, they're not just single line insults. They're huge paragraphs of carefully crafted malice.

Man that's the best thing about the web; more drama then TnT! But maybe not as much drama as a Spanish novela

Why?

Because I'm better than you.

btw, can anyone tell me how the longevity of the standard Schwalbe Marathon compares to the Plus version? (sans puncture resistance)

So true. If you've been riding hard the last thing you want to do is come down off your chi high by complaining and being negative.

Been done too much lately.

Maybe blondes vs brunettes vs redheads vs black hair?
Now that is a topic worth visiting.

I vote for blondes followed by redheads followed by black hair followed by brunettes.

you never know what's going on behind the post. a lot of people use forums to vent. i know i've posted things i've regretted when i was in a bad mood about something at work or whatever. but yeah, sometimes, it just seems like people are trying to pick a fight for no reason. this forum is getting so big there's always going to be a lot of rift raft coming through.

4) While hungry
5) On the loo
6) At 3 in the morning

Posting is the last time in my mind while bonking. When done, I'm usually mellow. You probably meant after a drought from bonking. I'm usually very grouchy when that happens.

Not as much as carbon. One scratch and that carbon frame is a goner. Steel is real.

Because people feel comfortable flaming others when they don't have to face that other person. It's the same reason why people are rude on the phone but usually not in person.
