Today on the ride home I developed a slow leak in my rear tire. It wasn't to bad so I stopped about 3 times to add air(didn't feel like patching) I made it all the way to a block from my Apartment complex when the tire went almost completely flat.
I reluctantly got off and started walking it up to my street. ABout 200ft from my street I stopped dead in my tracks. I said to myself "they will not see me taking the walk of shame with my bike". I stopped aired up the tire enough to roll around the corner and hammered it all the way to my building. LOL

Walking takes longer too. I would have kept adding air in too.

It's only a walk of shame if you did something dumb to puncture the tire. If it just happened, consider it God's way of telling you to relax a little.
I like to lie horizontally sometimes half-way through my ride. People must think I wiped out...bike splayed in the grass, me on teh ground, helmet a couple feet away.

I have been there, pumping at everyy light to get to work or home. You know you should just stop and patch it but you don't want to stop. Gotta keep going.

i had to do the walk one morning when i got a flat...walked home and used the old big bike to get back to work, it was a slow clunky ride in...i got some rim liners for the singlespeed and that seemed to solve all my flat problems...dare i say

I took a nasty thorn in my rear armadillo yesterday and started slowly flatting. I extended the distance by riding out of the saddle and positioning my weight more over the front tire. 3 blocks from home it was done and I started walking. Said the heck with it and put 30 psi in the tire and sprinted home. No way will I walk my bike down my street.

Patching the tire would have probably been faster than stopping three times and pumping.

The Mason, The Illumanati, The Man, The Know Nothings, The Anti-Masonic Party. Probably would have been faster for him but if he is like me he prefers to do repairs somewhere else than the middle of the sidewalk. I will do a repair anywhere if I have to but I prefer not to.
